Set Tabs
Tabs allow you to align text to the left, right or centre, or based on a decimal character. You can also set a leader line ahead of the tabs.

To set tabs using the ruler, proceed as follows:
- Click
at the left end of the ruler until the type of alignment you want appears: left, right, centre or decimal.
(Decimal tabs allow you, for example, to align figures in table columns using the comma, decimal point or any other given character.) - Click the ruler where you want to place a tab stop.

To set more precise tab positions and insert specific characters in front of the tabs, proceed as follows:
- In the Letter Editor toolbar, click
, then select the Line Spacing Options command.
- In the displayed dialog box, click the Indents and Spacing tab.
- Click Tabs.
- Under Alignment, select the type of alignment.
- If you want to add a tab leader, select it in the Leader box.
- Click Set, then OK.
